Hi all

I think Skydemon Flight Planning and its integration with NOTAMS is an outstanding piece of software.

However, I'm amazed there are no plans to produce an iPad app for GPS on the grounds that Windows-based devices are dominant.

Half the world is going iPad crazy, Industry and even hospitals are using them. While I understand the desire to sell (and acknowledge the investment made in) dedicated GPS hardware, most of us who have already bought a Garmin or similar (my Aera cost £500 odd quid and has the worst interface I have ever used) will want to go down the same road again.

In contrast, most users of mobile equipment are buying iPads anyway for other things. It has be far the best screen and Apple GUI is still streets ahead of anything else.

Skydemon, please reconsider. I can't believe porting to an app would be the end of the world and you would, in my opinion, clean up.

Although the ipad is lovely device, I think for this purpose an Android version would be more useful. Android is much more likely to be adopted by specialist device manufacturers with high brightness, sunlight readable screens, and a choice of screen sizes, etc, whereas Apple will always be driven by the mainstream consumer market.

The prospect of 7/8" iPad mini goes some way to address this but Samsung et al lead the way with screen technology.
